Our mission and vision
Find Jesus. Follow Purpose. Go Change the World.
That’s more than something we say on Sunday. It’s the future we’re building together in Allen: people finding hope in Jesus, finding their place in a community, and using their lives to make a difference.
Find Jesus
We want people in Allen to know they can come to Jesus with real questions and real struggles. No pretending required. You can discover hope and start growing right where you are.
Follow Purpose
God made your life for more than going through the motions. We help people discover gifts, build friendships, grow in faith, and take practical next steps.
Go Change the World
Our vision stretches beyond Sunday services. We want families growing stronger, children learning to lead, neighbors being cared for, and Allen changing for the better as people live out their faith.
There’s room for you in this vision. You don’t have to be an expert in church to help make Allen a more hopeful, connected place.
The heart of our faith
What We Believe
At First Christian Church of Allen, we keep the main thing the main thing: Jesus. These are the core beliefs we build our lives around, with Scripture you can open and explore for yourself.
There is one God.
We believe in one God, the Creator of all things, who loves us and calls us into relationship with Him.
Read: Deuteronomy 6:4
Jesus Christ is God.
We believe Jesus is God who came in the flesh. He shows us who God is, and our faith is centered on Him.
Read: John 1:1, 14 · Colossians 2:9
The gospel is good news.
We believe Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose from the dead on the third day. Through Jesus, we can receive forgiveness, new life, and hope. This is the heart of the good news we share.
Read: 1 Corinthians 15:3–4 · Ephesians 2:8–9
The Bible is God’s Word.
We believe the Bible is God’s Word and our trustworthy foundation for knowing Jesus, understanding the gospel, and living our faith.
Read: 2 Timothy 3:16–17
We believe in repentance and baptism.
Repentance means turning away from sin and turning toward Jesus. We baptize in the name of Jesus Christ and believe baptism is a powerful, meaningful step of faith and obedience, connecting us with His death, burial, and resurrection. We encourage everyone who follows Jesus to be baptized.
Read: Acts 2:38 · Romans 6:3–4
We believe in the Holy Spirit.
We believe the Holy Spirit is God’s presence and power at work in our lives today. The Holy Spirit is God’s gift, helping us experience His presence, grow in faith, and live with courage and purpose.
Read: Acts 2:38–39 · Acts 1:8
We hold firmly to these truths and approach other questions with humility and grace. You don’t have to have all the answers to explore Jesus with us.
Questions about any of this?
Let’s get together, open up our Bibles, and look at it together. Honest questions are welcome, and you don’t have to figure it all out alone.
A personal hello
Meet Pastor Chris.

If you’re wondering what to expect, looking for prayer, or have a question about faith, Chris would love to hear from you.
For your family and your community
More than a place to sit on Sunday.
Church is better when people know your name. We’re building a community where people can connect, pray together, and help one another follow Jesus in everyday life.
For families, our Kingdom Leadership Lab gives children ages 6–13 a fun place to learn about Jesus, practice leadership, create, and serve. Nursery care is available for ages 0–5.
Our church also serves neighbors in Allen through local outreach, including meals for seniors and support for community partners.
Our roots, our future
Serving Allen for generations.
First Christian Church of Allen has roots reaching back to the 1800s. We are affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). That history is part of our story, but our focus today is on helping people in Allen find Jesus, follow purpose, and go change the world.
We’re grateful for where we’ve come from, and excited about where God might lead us next.
